My term 4 interest project is on the Leaning Tower of Pisa from Italy.

Communication

This goal is to be a great communicator; to understand your audience, to write, to read, to speak and listen well, to use technology and artistic expression to communicate.

I will speak with a loud voice at my exhibition and ask for questions at the end. I will also include subtitles in my video.

Empirical reasoning

This goal is to think like a scientist: to use empirical evidence and a logical process to make decisions and to evaluate hypotheses.

I'm going to conduct an experiment during my exhibition. I'm using a 3D model of the Tower and a bucket full of sand to show why it's leaning.

Knowing how to Learn

This is about understanding what things make you curious and interested? What helps you to find your drive to explore and be open to doing hard work?

The reason I chose this is because the Tower is one of the world's most famous landmarks and I'm curious as to why it's leaning.

Personal qualities

This goal is to be the best you can be: to demonstrate respect, responsibility, organization, leadership, and to reflect on your abilities and strive for improvement.

I will double check through my exhibition to find any spelling mistakes. I will also dress formally and have a quiz at the end.

Quantitative reasoning

This goal is to think like a mathematician: to understand numbers, to analyze uncertainty, to comprehend the properties of shapes, and to study how things change over time.

I will calculate how tall the tower is, how much it approximately weighs and how many materials were used to build it.

Social reasoning

This goal is to think like a sociologist, historian, or anthropologist and to apply an understanding of historical patterns to thinking about current political, social, ethical, economic, and cultural issues.

I will create a timeline for the history of the tower. I will also explain why it's leaning with an experiment and in my video.

I will bring my interest project, a 3D model of the Tower, a quiz and my schoolwork. I will invite my classmates, teachers and parents.
